Malavika Nandan is a 14 year old classical and western dancer who has a keen passion to learn different forms of dance at this young age.Her parents discovered her inborn talent in this divine art at her early ages and she started learning dance at the tender age of 5 initially from her mother, after that it continued under Dr. Saraswathi Rajathesh and Veena Murthy Vijay. At present she is learning bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi under Sri. K.Ravikumar in Chilanka School of Dance, Bangalore and mohiniyattam under Smt. Vineetha Nedungadi and Sri. K.Ravikumar. She is expert in different forms of western dance as well.

Malavika is a class 9 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Hebbal, Bangalore.She represented twice her school for solo dance competition in national level social science Exhibition. And performed in many govt programs.

She performed in many stages across India and won many prizes and awards. She won “KALATHILAKAM” title 3 times in Karnataka state youth festival, held by Kerala Samajam, Bangalore. She was the semi-finalist of “NATYARATNA reality show-Season-I” held by Sankara TV.In IIDF (India-International Dance Festival), She honoured by “Future face of Mohiniyattam-2017” award. “Nritya Nalin Samman” award in Nritya Kamal Utsav 2018, held in Bengaluru,”Natyabharathi” award in “Guruparampara” festival in Visakhapatnam in December 2016 by VISAKHA ARTS & DANCE Association, “BALA NARTHAKI” award from “Mohana Keralam 2016”, a National Dance Festival held in Changampuzha Park, Kochi, “NatyaDarpana” award in “Prathibha Puraskar” held by Lalitha Nritha Kala Kendra,Bangalore, Secured fourth place in top 5 winners list of “Hiddenidol 2016” world level classical dance contest held at Chennai

She participated in many competitions and won prices like “Salabhanjika dance competition,”Word Dance Day” by “Alliance University, Bangalore, in “UVSA” Bala Prathibha Utsav competition in 2015 etc

She participated in Guinness world record award for being part of the Guinness world record of 5000 kuchipudi dancers dancing on a same stage at the same time in international kuchipudi convention.

She performed in many channels in Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam like ETV, Sankara Channel, Makkal TV (Aadal Arasigalin Sangamam-Season-II), Asianet etc. And around 30 dance festivals like IIDF(India-International Dance Festival),Sankramana Festival, Ninarshitha Festival, Mohana Keralam,Nellay Nrithyanjali, Guruparampara Festival, Chinnara Kalarava-2016, Kovai festival, program organized by Horticulture department of Karnataka, AKHILA KARNATAKA KUCHIPUDI FESTIVAL,Srushti National Dance Festival, Mohini Nrithyolsav by Monisha arts, Bangalore.etc.

Apart from dance She is very much passionate in acting as well. She acted in a documentary about the renowned director Sri Adoor Gopalakrishnan directed by famous director of Karnataka, Sri. Girish Kasaravalli.She acted in a promotion video of a Bangalore based music academy, “Swasthika”.

She has a very good academic remarks in her school and cultural and sports activities also.

She want to go for Astrophysics, but keeping dance as her passion and pursue degree in dance as well. She want to mark her signature in classical and western dance field and very hard working to achieve the same. Her parents also helping her to find the opportunities for her to grow in this career.

As per Malavika, every stage is a learning for her, even small or big, one to many audience, devoting her soul and body for dance, enjoy it. Each failure is a lesson, each success is a step towards her ultimate goal.
