Biography

Fast, technical, and melodic are just a few words that the punk rock community uses to describe MUTE’s music. Composed of Étienne Dionne, Jean-Philippe Lamonde, Matt Kapuszczak and Alexis Trépanier, MUTE has spent the last 19 years taking a 100% DIY approach to bringing its music to the masses! The group has four albums under its belt - Blueprints (2001), Sleepers (2004), The Raven (2008) and Thunderblast (2011) – that have been distributed in North America, South America, Japan and Europe. The band has also filmed five music videos over the course of their career.

MUTE has played more than 600 concerts in North America, in South America, in Japan and in Europe. The group was fortunate enough to share the stage with bands like Bad Religion and The Offspring, and to tour with bands like Rise Against, NOFX and Lagwagon.

Tireless and faithful to its devoted and hardworking DIY ethics, MUTE has no intention of slowing down. With a fifth album on its way, and a lot more touring to come, MUTE is, and will remain, a force to be reckoned with in the punk rock world!
