With more than 15 years of musical journey, Deep is a dynamic and multi talented artist who has captivated many a audience with his charming personality, the ease with which he connects to his audience instantly and above all his mesmerizing voice and musical ability. A performer par excellence, who kicked off his musical career way back in 2001 at the age of 18 in MTV’s first India based musical show “Gao Baby Gao” hosted by Cyrus Barrucha , Nikhil Chinappa and Mini Mathur and was the first runners up. In the initial stage of his career Deep not only played the six strings but also lent his magical voice for the Kolkata based rock band who released their first album in 2003. Life changed when he moved to Delhi... Dreams took shape and his musical journey reached greater heights with his winning innumerable accolades for his live performances. He was the winner of the Delhi Rock Fest consecutively for two years and total of three times in 2005, 2006 and 2010. Deep has been performing various live shows all over India in Delhi/NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kanpur, Agra, Lucknow, Bangalore and Himachal for last 15 years. Under the able guidance of famous playback singer Brinda Roy Chowdhury, Deep learned ClassicalVocal music. Deep is a Fusion Player who plays almost all kind of musical genres, be it ethnic rock or instrumental or contemporary tracks in Western Blues, Sufi & Bollywood mix, Gazals and also few Bengali folk. …with a dynamic voice and the ability to give life to music, he’s an example of a true musician. His talent has made him share the stage with many Legends and Bands like India Ocean, Parikrama, Jal from Pakistan and many more. With more than 1200 shows in his singing career we present to you the voice touching million hearts and making millions move. The singing sensation Deep Bhowmick… Deep, as he is fondly known as, co-founded “AVNI ~ The Band” in 2006. He was the Lead Vocalist of this Delhi based multi genre Fusion Band. Deep is known for his powerhouse live performances at prestigious venues and mega shows for major corporates, many universities and management schools. His various solo projects like the Poetic Saaz is an instant hit and his work has been appreciated by music connoisseurs. His maiden composition “Kabhi Yun Hi To Baras” , “Kafirana ISHQ”, Tere Bin ' were recognized widely by one and all… And he is all set to release his first Indi Fusion album shortly… Deep has conducted numerous Musical Workshops all over India for many Corporate’s like Airtel, Pepsi, Vodafone, Bauch & Laumb, HSBC, Indian Oil, ICCR, ACC Cement, Metlife, Vikash Publication, Diaego and offers visual and audio based modules for an overall conceptual building of the Musical gamut. He works with school children and differently-abled students and has taken forward the concept of Music Therapy to recognise excellence and hidden talents in them. He was interviewed by Hindustan Times and also featured in Times of India in July and Oct 2011 for his Musical Journey so far. Deep had the honour of working with the industry giant “The Yashraj Film Production’’ in 2011 when he featured in the music video for their super-hit bollywood venture “Mere Brother ki Dulhan”, starring Katrina Kaif and Imraan Khan. He can be seen with the Guitar in the hit Bollywood number “Dhunki Dhunki Laage”. He is a complete performer and is among the top live performers in Delhi specializing in unplugged SOLO sessions too.
