About ---- Singer. Rapper. Writer. Dancer __________________________________________ Biography --- An explosive, unstoppable force in Dance/EDM throughout the U.S. and Europe since emerging in 2013 with smash “Fiyacraka,” KORR-A’s provocative new track “Everybody Gets Down” brings the heat in a fresh way that takes her back to her musical roots. Collaborating throughout 2015 with Dutch producer Tearce “Kizzo,” who has worked his sonic magic with everyone from Afrojack and Inna to Jason Derulo, Pitbull and Ne-Yo, the multi-talented Los Angeles based artist and performer creates a cool, infectious old school 90s pop-urban throwback vibe that marks her exciting new musical direction. The powerhouse feel good track, built around the classic hook of C&C Music Factory’s 1990 #1 hit “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” lends itself to a sexy, freewheeling dance-filled video where KORR-A leads a group of funky beach goers and beach basketball players in some wild moves. Keeping with the old school feel, she pops a cassette into a boom box and waits for the magic to explode. “This is the type of music I grew up listening to and have always loved, and Kizzo grew up in the same era,” KORR-A says. “So the sound we created came together fluidly and naturally for us. My other singles were very dance/EDM with big dance breaks in the middle, and those were great club tracks. With ‘Everybody Gets Down,’ we’re dropping something you can definitely hear on mainstream pop radio. The new vibe stems from my having the freedom to explore the music I love, and I feel like it’s something that needed to happen. The old school urban pop thing has been deep inside me for a long time and I’ve wanted to bring it out for a while now. Kizzo and I have become close friends and have a lot of fun together as we work on our creative flow. It’s really easy to express ourselves with one another.” KORR-A has been dropping exciting new heat throughout 2015 including “Heart Of Glass” produced by Dave Aude who took home a Grammy this year. Previously working with Kizzo on her singles “Swipe Right” (a whimsical spin on the Tinder/Grinder apps and the modern dating world) and the controversial “Touch Me Like You Mean It” – which the singer debuted at the Fusion Radio 10th Anniversary event in Chicago. “Touch Me Like You Mean It” received instant support from the audience and hit #20 in the Billboard Dance Chart. Expanding her influence as an active force in the fashion world, KORR-A received a feature spread in Runway Magazine’s Spring 2014 music issue. She has been asked back multiple times to perform at Rock That Fashion put on by Runway, as well as other fashion charity events. KORR-A also performed on LA Pride’s main stage, opening for Jennifer Hudson alongside Azealia Banks. In 2013, KORR-A made a splash in the dance world with her powerhouse single “Fiyacraka,” which was helmed by Grammy-winning producer, Dave Aude, who has scored over 83 #1 Billboard dance hits. “Fiyacraka” reached #18 on the Billboard Dance Club Charts, #12 on UK’s Music Week Commercial Pop Charts, and #7 on the DJ Times National Dance/Crossover Charts. The Sick Individual Remix of “Fiyacraka” scored support from DJs like Hardwell (who opened his podcast with it), Chuckie, Paul Oakenfold, and Laidback Luke. The intoxicating music video premiered on LOGO and was prominently featured on MTV, VH1, and VEVO. KORR-A wrapped that year with the release of the holiday single “Deck The Halls”, a modern dance remake of the original Christmas song. Over the past few years, KORR-A has headlined shows throughout the club circuit in Los Angeles and various other cities. She was invited to open and perform for the Miss Mexico 2012 pageant and the My Way Awards in Ukraine. She also took part in a mini tour with other singers and dancers as part of a Southern California anti-bullying campaign sponsored by Celebrity High Magazine. Her music has played on heavy rotation on Party 105 in Long Island NY, 92.5 in Chicago and on major radio stations throughout Florida. Her tracks and videos are also popular on numerous radio and TV outlets throughout Eastern Europe. Excited about continuing to explore her new vibe and sharing “Everybody Get Down” with a global audience, KORR-A, a former professional dancer, says, “I love being able to perform for people and create a sound that can inspire people to live better lives and feel wonderful things. I also enjoy encouraging them to dance. That’s what the new song is about. We want everybody, whether they’re five or 85, to have a good time, let loose and go crazy.” ______________________________ Press contact --- contactkorra@gmail.com _________________________________ Booking agent --- CEG Talent
