Nikos Sofos (aka Niknaf) was born in the 6th of December at Nafplio, Greece and lived a life full of music. Been raised in a family with great respect for vinyl and quality sound, he came to develop an eclectic musical taste and trained ears. However, it was only when he got his first drum set that this innocent flirt started to turn into true passion; passion for creating his own music as a mean to express his thoughts and feelings. Naturally, most would expect that Nikos would end up in a band situation with a pair of sticks but that is not the case here. When the time came that his hands met with a pair of decks, he knew that he would never let go. He came to realize that he had finally found a way not only to express himself through music, but also pass this unique feeling to other people and make them smile. He took his first steps as a dj at local bars and clubs, playing a wide variety of musical genres. When the point came that he felt ready to commit and define his musical identity he just went with what was in his heart; and that was EDM. Ten years have passed since then and Nikos came to evolve into one of the most respected EDM djs of his country; particularly well known for his slick selection, mixing and crowd reading skills. His appearances as a resident and guest dj at top tier venues like W Club Athens, Dream City, Fortezza, Sesto Sense (Cyprus) and the amazing support on his productions by the likes of Gareth Emery, Promise Land, Playmen, Kay Wilder and Djs from Mars, only prove that Niknaf has come to stay. Official releases on Sony Music and multiple chartings by Kiss FM, Star FM and Radio1 Rhodes are also well worth mentioning. Being a man who loves challenge, Niknaf took the next step in 2014 and moved into the UK, with the sole quest of spreading his music in a far more demanding and competitive market.
