A talented producer, Bart Ricardo first released a track in 2009 on the American imprint Herbal Essence. His ever-expanding discography now contains multiple releases on respected house labels such as Farris Wheel Recordings, Gourmand Music, Frequency Spectrum... In 2012, he topped the charts of popular online stores with his “Boom Away EP” on Tango Recordings. He has also shown his talents by remixing successful projects of Lil’ Mark, Le Babar, Joss Moog, Andrew Emil... No stranger to collaboration, he shared productions with Chicago based Alinka (Defected, Twirl), Nicolas Kenyon (as Kenyon & Ricardo) and more recently with French producer JR From Dallas (Gourmand Music).
2014 was even more significant when he released the highly appraised “NYC EP” on Chicago’s Whitebeard label. That summer, Derrick Carter played “Spoken Words” in his sets and “Henry’s Philly” featured on Mark Farina’s GLA47 podcast and Roy Davis Jr. Clash Magazine podcast. The release would also earn him an honorable spot in Traxsource’s Jackin Top 200 chart of 2014. His most recent remixes include JR From Dallas’ Acid Ghetto Street (sold out limited vinyl edition) and Pha5e & Furmits’ Bring The Good Stuff, both for Gourmand Music. A successful appearance at Amsterdam’s Most Wanted Radio and showcase of Good For You Records during ADE topped off another excellent production year.
Ricardo also makes it a priority to visit his Chicagoan family and friends each year and it comes as no surprise to catch him behind the decks of Gramaphone Records, Vertigo Sky Lounge, Smart Bar, Evil Olive, radio stations and neighboring cities.
